Over the weekend, Katharine McPhee and husband David Foster attended the 9th Beakthrough Prize Ceremony at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, California. It’s an event where Hollywood luminaries and prominent leaders of the business community and academia come together to celebrate science and scientific achievement.

The event was hosted by actor and Emmy Award winner James Corden, and featured appearances by Kristen Bell, Leslie Odom Jr., and Chris Pine, Magnus Carlsen, Lily Collins, Danny DeVito, Robert Downey Jr., Gal Gadot, Mae Jemison, Brie Larson, Edward Norton, Lauren Ridloff, and Chloé Zhao. Singer-songwriter Chris Isaak performed at the event’s official afterparty.

The ceremony will premiere on YouTube on Saturday, April 22 at 12pm PT.
