Marie Claire exclusively premiered Katharine McPhee’s new track, “Stranger Than Fiction,” off her upcoming album Hysteria, which is due out next month. Click here to take a listen!

The power pop ballad was co-written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic and produced by Smith Carlson. Fans first got a taste of the song when Katharine performed it during her “Lick My Lips” radio promo tour back in June.

“Stranger than Fiction is the anthemic song on my album that captures a time where I was finding strength from independence, love and faith from the most peculiar places…hence, life is stranger than fiction,” Katharine explains.
