Katharine McPhee and Boomer Esiason’s CBS special Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials pulled in its largest audience since 2010 last night with over 10 million viewers tuning in. The 15th annual special had a theme of old-school vs. new-school this year, with Katharine picking her five favorite recent commercials and Boomer choosing a handful from yesteryears.
Earlier this month Bello Magazine did a cover story and photo shoot declaring Katharine McPhee the “Primetime Princess.” Between starring in one of the biggest new shows on TV with Scorpion and pulling in the largest Super Bowl commercial special ratings in 5 years, that title is justified!

Online Votes For Best Commercial Up Triple-Digit Percentages Over Last Year
SUPER BOWL’S GREATEST COMMERCIALS delivered its largest audience and best ratings in both adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 2010, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Monday, Jan. 26.
At 8:00 PM, SUPER BOWL’S GREATEST COMMERCIALS (S) won the time period in viewers (10.83m) and adults 25-54 (3.1/08). Compared to last year’s special (on Wednesday, Jan. 29), CBS was up +11% in both adults 25-54 (from 2.8/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06 from 1.9/05) and added +1.13m viewers (from 9.64m, +13%).
On CBS.com, total online votes for the best commercial during the East Coast and West Coast broadcasts were up triple-digit percentages over last year.
