Katharine McPhee is making the most of her time off this summer. The Scorpion actress just wrapped on shooting the Lifetime movie The Lost Wife of Robert Durst, and now she’s off to New Orleans!
Katharine has been cast in Cuba Gooding Jr.’s directorial debut, Louisiana Caviar. Katharine mentioned the casting news on an Instagram Story today with the caption “one more movie to go!”. No word on what role Katharine will be playing, but here’s the official plot synopsis:
Louisiana Caviar is about good people who, out of desperation, resort to doing bad things that inevitably leave them with life-changing consequences. In the film, Gooding plays Rodney, a former boxing champ who, after a deathbed visit to his trainer and mentor, is propelled into reclaiming victory for his now simple life as a nightclub bouncer. He partners with Janssenโs Nic, a no-nonsense lesbian photographer and an aspiring starlet to make a compromising tape with Isaac, a married devout Orthodox Jewish real estate mogul, that sets off a chain of events that brings down an underworld empire headed by Dreyfussโs Yuri.
