The Grove sparkled with festive decorations, creating a perfect backdrop for the celebration of their musical collaboration. As fans eagerly awaited their turn for the CD/LP signing, the air buzzed with the anticipation of hearing the duo’s take on classic holiday tunes. I found myself captivated by the story behind the album, a tale of two incredibly talented artists coming together to create a Christmas masterpiece. My family, including myself (Kristina Aglinz, singer/songwriter), had the great pleasure of engaging in warm conversation with Katharine McPhee and David Foster. It was evident that the Christmas album was not just a collection of songs but a shared experience, a collaboration that resonated deeply with the spirit of the season. Katharine McPhee’s velvety voice and David Foster’s masterful musical arrangements had already left an indelible mark on the music industry. However, this Christmas album marked a special collaboration, a harmonious blend of their talents to spread holiday cheer. Sangina Sharipova also enjoyed meeting Katharine and David:
I had the incredible opportunity to meet David Foster, the music composer and producer who has had the greatest influence on my music taste, my love for music, and my passion. Since I was a young child, I have been listening to and singing songs that he wrote for my music idols as Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and many others. It was beyond my wildest dreams to imagine that one day I would be standing next to him, introducing myself as a singer from Kazakhstan, and expressing my gratitude for reposting our duet video. Meeting the legendary David Foster was truly a dream come true for me. Now, I can only hope that the next step will be performing together on a stage and creating a beautiful song. The album “Christmas Songs” and the performance that followed were amazing. Katharine has a beautiful and powerful voice, and her stage presence is very professional. They made me feel the Christmas spirit of the new year, for which I’m grateful.– Sangina Sharipova
