I saw the special. I love Katherine and her fabulous voice. I didnโ€™t like how people dressed her for what they wanted to see – provocative. The music: if youโ€™re to sing jazz with that beautiful, ditch the strings then get one of the beat quintets you can find who will play around you, not the other way around. Then go out on that stage and belt those songs out that need to be belted. Sing the rest from your soul not a producers. Risk it all! Youโ€™re a star. Go out and claim that title with your voice and style, not someone elses. David will have you singing old songs forever. Youโ€™re young. Sing your heart out for whatever makes your heart ache with pain, but also, joy.
