The Tony Award-nominated hit musical Waitress is about to make its U.K. premiere in London’s West End, and Katharine McPhee will be starring in the lead role of Jenna Hunterson! Preview performances begin at the Adelphi Theatre on February 8 ahead of its official opening night on March 7. Tickets are available now.
Based on the 2007 motion picture by Adrienne Shelly, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, an expert pie maker in a small town, who dreams of a way out of her loveless marriage. Waitress has a book by Jessie Nelson, a score by singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, choreography by Lorin Latarro, and direction by Diane Paulus.
Katharine recently made her Broadway debut playing Jenna this past spring, earning her rave reviews and a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award.
