I’m Brazilian and wasn’t aware of this talent of Katharine McPhee’s. She is a wonderful, beautiful actress and singer.
It’s unfair to say one version is better than another. Naturally, we always end up comparing it to the first or original one.
Taking everything into account—the performer, the arrangement, the circumstances—this has become my favorite version.
